Face value is an interesting departure for Sue from her more recent style. The realism of the cats faces lends a traditional feel to the work, while the strong colour theme is very contemporary. The images themselves are quite small yet, as a set, they create a very appealing and eye catching effect. Hung as a block or in a linier design, the images benefit from substantial mounts and a flat section frame, lending an air of importance to the work. They are, above all, very sensitive studies - full of life and feline charm. Wonderful!
