As the latest of my occasional Contemporary range of images, 'Rain Stops Play' follows in the vein of 'Spring or Fall' (published Spring 2007). It is fundamentally a black and white image which I have highlighted with the yellow tennis ball and a hint of brown in the eyes. The look of dejection on the dog's face - which is emphasised by his pose - is put into context by the rain spattered window through which he gazes directly at the viewer.
