These were the very first images published by Nigel Hemming Editions in January 1999. Sue's abiding love of cats, combined with her wonderful sense of humour, culminated in this delightful, bright and colourful set of naïve characters. Having not painted professionally before, Sue was a little dubious of attempting anything too complex and involved. Nevertheless, I feel that the outcome of her first endeavours have proved very successful and have been extremely well received. The editions have all but sold out and their success prompted Sue to go on and produce the images that you can view on the following pages.
